Nicholas Carlstrom, Contractor and Adjuster
Nicholas has over 10 years of experience in the property insurance and restoration industries. He is a licensed multi-state Contractor and Adjuster with advanced knowledge of construction contracting and claims adjusting practices. Nicholas strives to facilitate comprehensive and accurate settlements for his clients. He holds the esteemed Xactimate Affiliate Trainer certification and is highly experienced at drafting comparative estimates and providing unbiased opinion on covered damages and indemnity amounts.
Nicholas worked as a independent adjuster and handled a variety of daily and catastrophe claims for residential and commercial properties in Florida and the Pacific Northwest. He performed field inspections and file reviews for insurance carriers and third-party administrators. Nicholas started in the industry as a Construction Manager. He reviewed architectural plans and engineering reports to determine the scope, schedule, and budget for a variety of building restoration projects in Florida. He was responsible for executing purchase orders and subcontracts, recording change orders, updating critical path schedules, and communicating with project stakeholders. Nicholas has gained extensive experience managing restoration projects for from losses that resulted from wind, hail, water, storm, and fire. He is adept at creating mitigation plans that include the use of containment barriers and specialty drying equipment. He has supervised employees in the production of drying logs and mitigation documentation for insurance carrier verification. As an accredited AHERA Building Inspector, Nicholas collects samples of suspected asbestos containing building materials. He produces reports to inform property owners of potentially hazardous materials which may be disturbed during construction activities. |
